On Feb. 17, we held a forum on  homelessness in Rockbridge County. More than 100 community members signed up to attend.

Speakers from area non-profits working directly on homelessness discussed how homelessness is addressed now and how we might do more:

• Lindsey Perez, programs manager for RARA and homelessness issue representative

• Judy Casteele, executive director at Project Horizon, with expertise in domestic violence shelter and area homeless advocacy

• Lydia Campbell, community-based services supervisor for the Valley Community Services Board, leader of the Valley Homelessness Connection
