NO KINGS!
No Kings is a national pro-democracy, anti-authoritarianism movement formed by a coalition of more than 200 organizations dedicated to the principle that the United States has no king and must reject totalitarian power grabs. On the first No Kings Day on June 14, 2025, more than 2,000 rallies were held in cities and towns across the nation. On Oct. 18, Indivisible estimated that more than 7 million Americans came out to protest. Onward!

In Rockbridge, we roared: Power to the People!

Across America and around the world, people gathered Saturday, Oct. 18, to say No Kings! 50 Ways thanks photographer Conrad Matiuk, who captured with his color photos the power and protest that engaged the group, estimated at close to 1,000.

In the video, Tinni Sen, 50 Ways board member and rally coordinator, inspired the crowd with a speech that played off lines from "the two greatest poets of my generation." Listen to find out who they are, what they said, and why she quoted them.

Marchers gathered at Oak Grove Cemetery before 2 p.m., walked down both sides of Main and then turned toward Hopkins Green for speeches and solidarity.
